I have been photographing all my fun props and vintage items lately.
We are starting a vintage prop rental business and I will be placing all my goodies online for potential clients to see and hopefully rent for their special event.
To stage them in a fun way I hung up all my vintage clothes on my... are you ready??... GYPSY WAGON!!!
I got this lovely old wagon about a month ago in trade for doing an event. It is in sad, let me repeat SAD shape but that's OK. I will enjoy getting it all fixed up! I can't wait to have tea in it someday soon. You can better believe I will post all about it, ad nauseum, you will probably get sick of it!
This really is a dream come true. I have wanted one for years! I still can't believe it's mine.
Anyway back to the vintage prop rental business. I need your help with a name. Here are a couple I have come up with but I would love to get your ideas.
Vintage Vignettes
Pretty Props
Salvaged Stuff
After the first name it goes down hill I know. Any great ideas? I would love to hear them.
Also I think I mentioned a while back a steam punk wedding I had the tremendous fun of designing.
It is on the blog site called Ruffled. Here is a link to the post. It was SUPER FUN!!! As soon as I get the photos from the photographer I will do a huge post on it. I was truly one of the best ever. You can get your curiosity going by looking at Ruffled and then hopefully in a week or so I will have tons of pics to show.
That's it for now, just stopping by. Hope you are all super well!!!
Back in a flash (hopefully) with loads of pics
By the way, I cannot tell a lie. My neighbor took these photos with her... PHONE! It beats the heck out of anything I took with my fancy pants camera... *sigh*
There is a reason I don't make a living with a camera, much better with flowers.
I saw the wedding on Ruffled a few days ago, it's soooo gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour gypsy caravan looks wonderful, can't wait to see what you do with it.
Oh and I think I like Vintage Vignettes best. :-)
Rachel
Oh WOW!!! How cool! I would love to see it when you fix it up!
ReplyDeleteohhhh Tricia ! Cant I have this laundry? :D:D:D J.K. I went to the link for the wedding and I was blown away. I love being blown away! Tricia you are truly talented. I wish I liked thrifting but alas it is far too much driving and work. I have however recently done this and I did find treasures! I guess treasures require effort. Name suggestions: ''Vintage Beauty Rentals'' "Vintage Memories For Hire" ? blessings, Lady
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of that wagon!
ReplyDeleteAs far as a name, I kind of like two of them together, "vintage vignettes and pretty props"

OMG Tricia, your Gypsy Vardo is fabulous, I'm so Happy for you! And I will never get tired of your Shared Inspirations & Events... so share away, I can't wait to see how you Transform this into a Gypsy Haven Heaven! I agree with Cielo, "Rent A Dream" would be a great Name because it would cover whatever Prop you had available to bring someone's Dream to Life.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for The Man to discover my Vardo, I want a Project so I don't care about condition so long as it has good bones... because I want to put my own signature & mark on it.
