Dreaming...

I've been a bit under the weather lately,  caught a bad cold.  So I have been laying around a lot, watching lots of movies and trying to rest.  My imagination has been working though...  helped a bit by NyQuil

I have been loosing myself in a sea of dreams...
sleeping and dreaming...
 of faerie tales...
magical wanderings...
Far off lands...
magical folk...
and the wee fae...
Vanessa over at "A Fanciful Twist" is hinting at another blog tea party...

Hmmm...  in a secrete forest with lovely lanterns,
A magical gathering...
I better hurry up and get well...  lots to do!

Surf Bum wedding

We had a super fun wedding on the ranch a while back for a couple of surfers.  I saw some of the shots on a wedding blog and so contacted the photographer (Stephanie Hogue who did a fabulous job!) to get a hold of the pictures.  This couple was so much fun, and very much out-of-the-box.   They personalized everything.  Their ceremony was on the lawn by the ocean.
This was their invitation...

I kept expecting them to grab their boards and hit the surf.
For the ceremony the bride and groom wore flip flops
I covet this parasol!
The groom's men.
They shot pictures all over the ranch.

This is the old ranch store next to the field where we used to sell Christmas trees.
Under the trestle bridge.

The reception was at the barn.

The guests names were written on old fashion style 45 record covers.
The tables were named after their favorite songs and albums and then written on an actual old 45.
The guest sign in was a mini surf board that guests signed.  It sat atop a
couple bales of hay with the sign "love notes" in front.

Their party favors were small jars of honey from the ranch with the old brand of the ranch on top.  The brand just happened to be their initials too.
To bring the beach into the barn we used drift wood in the centerpieces.

This was the lounge in front of the barn complete with a drift wood chandelier.

This is the shuttle driver who also just happened to play the most exquisite
classical Spanish guitar.  He was wonderful!
Their programs.

I made 2 huge drift wood chandeliers for the barn.

Their desert area.
This was the first time I have ever heard of cakes on a stick.  They were fabulous!
The driftwood chandeliers looked so beautiful at night.
The lounge at night looked magical with all the twinkle lights in the trees.
They had a popcorn machine by the lounge which people really enjoyed.
I love this picture!
I hope the waves are peeling perfectly in your neck of the woods!
