Happy, colorful flowers, classes and weddings...

Hello Blog friends,  more luscious goodness to show you...  beautiful flowers and rich saturated colors... sigh!  To pretty for words...

I am still signing up folks for my ongoing floral design classes...  so fun!!!!

I want to show you another wedding I had the fun of creating...  I LOVE the color in this special day...

It was a Hindu ceremony so I got to create my first mandep (the arbor the ceremony is held under)

The pathway leading there was great fun!  Sadly nobody danced and spun their way to the ceremony though...

The details were so bright and cheery!  We made easily over 200 feet of garland!

Here is the beautiful bride...

This is my idea of a wedding dress!  I adore the color.  

The entire family leads her to the ceremony, singing and clapping!

Here is the groom...

Everyone is soooo happy!

The Hindu ceremony was to honor the groom and his family.  Then the bride had a wardrobe change and they held a more western style ceremony...

We hurriedly took down the mandep and set up the new altar with the most beautiful deep red colors.  That was from the Brides Chinese tradition where red is the color of choice.  Usually the bride wears a red dress.  Later in the evening the bride had a third wardrobe change where she donned her beautiful  traditional red Chinese dress.  She was a busy girl and absolutely beautiful!

It was such a pleasure to be a part of this bright colorful and happy wedding!!!  I LOVE color!!!!

Vintage... take two

I know everyone is in a holiday mood but I finally got the pictures from one of the weddings I did a couple of months ago.  It was another beautiful vintage style, which I absolutely adore...  The next post will be holiday oriented I promise.  In the mean time enjoy...

The brides and bridesmaids bouquet

Up close of the brides bouquet.  A combination of garden Roses, Eucalyptus, blue Thistle, Dusty Miller, Stock, Lavender and Sage.

The bride and groom were delivered to the reception in a vintage tractor and carriage.

The carriage with a garland of Baby's Breath.

A stack of vintage suitcases with the top one filled with flowers greats the guests at the entrance to the ceremony.

Along with the check in table and a wagon of parasols.

A bit of decoration on the way to the ceremony.  That is actually my husbands bed side table. He is very accommodating actually.  There are a number of occasions where he would come home from work and small things like the living room couch and coffee table would be rented out for a wedding.  So far I haven't rented the bed yet...  I think he might draw the line at that.

In the trees surrounding the Chuppa I hung lots of birdcages with flowers spilling out.

I hung small jars with flowers at the back of the chuppa.

How fun are they?

I created a fun eclectic sign that hung on the back of the carrage.

I hung birdcages with flowers at the reception also.

A lounge we set up for the cocktail hour (the living room couch and chair by the way...)

A reception table arrangement.  I placed a small floral arrangement under an old cloche and hung the "bloom" sign on it.

The head table.  I used a glass door off an old cabinet, set it on it's side and then set various arrangements and bits around it.

Upclose shot of the glass door and the bits around it.  I stacked a couple of antique floral frogs and then tucked a couple of flowers in the top.

A fun item for the buffet...  Those are my boots!

The cake...  it is hard to tell but there are a variety of vintage apothecary jars filled with flowers surrounding the cake.
